Three individuals have been arrested for allegedly attempting to bribe V. Ashok Kumar, a TVK MLA, to secure his vote during a no-confidence motion against the Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Assembly.
The investigation has indicated that V. Ashok Kumar is the brother of former DMK Minister V. Senthilbalaji, who is currently serving as the MLA for Coimbatore South.
The incident reportedly took place on July 1, 2026, when the accused met with the MLA in Chennai to discuss the bribery attempt.
